  • Please help our friend Lisa and her daughter Gracie. They need our support right now. Already single parenthood is unmatched in difficulties, before adding natural disaster to the plate. Lisa has gradually experienced a compounding hardship this year as her house flooded multiple times since moving in last fall, and black mold developed. This has significantly added many stressors, from several clean ups, followed by respiratory concerns, and severe migraines for both Lisa, and Gracie. This has significantly taken a toll on her and lowered her energy level. Though she is working very hard, as many hours as she can, the debt she accrued over the year, put her deep in a hole. For much of year, both Lisa and Gracie have been dealing with, severe headaches, (migraines) several times a week, as much as a couple times a day, as a result of living with the black mold, leaving Lisa missing out on much needed work, and Gracie missing school days. Because Lisa has been dealing with perpetual exhaustion and extreme headaches, it has been hard to maintain steady work as a contractor, painting on historical restorations around our beautiful city of lakes. And to stay afloat, while simultaneously saving to re-locate to a new healthy home has been near impossible. Several recent doctor appointments have shown the cause for their ailments, as due to living in a house with black mold. Lisa and her small family were forced to leave their beautiful home, which they otherwise loved. It had become an unhealthy environment, regardless of continuous efforts to scrub, clean, dredge, remove mold from walls, and replace sections of walls, multiple times on the basement level. They've had to put all their salvaged possessions in storage, are temporarily staying at a friends house, and currently do not have a place to call their very own. Please donate what you can to help Lisa and her darling daughter Gracie. Saving for a damage deposit with first month's rent as a single parent has been daunting with the debilitating black mold in the picture. Under normal circumstances, Lisa has always lived well. These extreme circumstances have taken their toll. Please help her climb back, in effort to get Gracie & Nola home before the snow flies!
