The mission of The Apologues is to use the transformative power of art, fashion, and music to heal, empower, and advocate for individuals impacted by trauma, particularly from gun violence, rape, domestic violence, substance abuse, and other forms of trauma affecting urban communities. Through storytelling, self-portraits, wearable art, and musical experiences, The Apologues honors the emotions of untreated trauma, humanizes the stories of victims and survivors, and provides a space for connection, reflection, and healing. By linking attendees to mental health resources and community support, we strive to create lasting change and break the cycle of trauma that can affect future generations.
