OUR VISION, MISSION AND VALUES
Our Vision
Socially responsible students pursuing passions for a better world.
We are committed to contributing positively to our local and global communities, environmental stewardship, and supporting the well-being, and inclusion of all people. Through the pursuit of passions, students will find their unique purpose in the world.
Our Mission
To inspire and support young people for meaningful lives.
Collingwood’s personalized and inclusive approach fosters academic excellence and well-being as our students explore opportunities across the four strands--academics, athletics, arts and service learning. We value experiential learning, collaboration, character development, and problem solving across disciplines. Our graduates will join the global community as critical thinkers who are resilient, socially conscious and prepared to make the most of their opportunities.
Our Values
We live our values of courage, curiosity and community to be in service of others:
Courage
To be a leader, one must have courage. This is how we build integrity, confidence, resilience and respect for self and others.
Stepping forward or speaking out to create an environment that values the uniqueness of others, takes courage.
Our graduates will use their courage as they rise to meet challenges throughout their lives and seek to make a better future for the world.
Curiosity
Curiosity drives passion for life-long learning. This passion, in turn, drives innovation and collaboration.
To inspire curiosity, we push beyond the core curriculum to ensure our students are engaged in an education that is transformative.
Community
In our community, inclusion is a belief and approach where our students, families, alumni, faculty and staff, work together to feel a sense of belonging.
The diversity of our family is a strength. Inclusivity is a community-wide effort and we value listening, patience, and empathy.
We express our belief in community mindedness through our commitment to leadership, respect for one another, and service to others, both locally and globally.
EDI Commitment
At Collingwood School, we aim to foster an inclusive and equitable environment that embraces diversity. Through education and courage, we are committed to cultivating a pluralistic environment as we work together to remove barriers so that every person feels welcomed, understood and valued.
You can make a difference!
Equity acknowledges that everyone has different needs, experiences, and opportunities. In an equitable environment, we give people what they need as individuals to elevate everyone to an equal playing field and within Collingwood school, we are looking to further that exact concept. Through this recent covid-19 pandemic many families were affected who did not have the same help and resources to be able to get through this struggling time. This creates the objective of this partnership between Collingwood school and the harvest project to hopefully make a difference in these people's lives.
Learning and helping our community together
North Shore schools are important partners in Harvest Project’s work, as students and their families join with us to ‘extend a hand up’ while gaining ‘up-close’ knowledge about the vulnerable place some of our neighbors find themselves in.
HARVEST PROJECT
“EXTENDING A HAND UP, NOT A HAND OUT”
Thank you for your generous gift this season. We recognize the challenges that this year (and next) are bringing. With your help, Harvest Project's team will bring transforming change to our neighbours who need it most - now and through 2026. On your behalf, we share compassion and vital resources.
Making your one-time donation or a monthly gift will ensure
that Harvest Project has reliable funding to provide care for
those in our community facing overwhelming life-crises. Thanks
to your support, we are able to provide coaching and counsel, a
rent bank, grocery/nutrition and clothing supports and more. We
bring together holistic care and services for each individual
and family as they seek to move to a brighter future.

the better
Harvest Project reaches out to people across
Metro-Vancouver’s North Shore who are confronted with family
trauma, illness, job loss, and the threat of poverty and homelessness.
We impact the community by breaking the poverty cycle +
restoring people to healthier lives. We celebrate with
client-families as they move forward through their circumstances
to healthier lives here on the North Shore. And, the whole
community is made better.
Whether you are a new supporter or have been a donor for
33 years, we thank you, on behalf of the people we serve.
Together, we can help save lives. Close to home.
We respect your trust and generosity in sharing your gift.

A new generation of hope
Help Harvest Project’s social justice and poverty reduction work right here in the North Shore of Vancouver!
Harvest Project age appropriate school presentations and workshops are supporting and helping teachers deliver the Core Competency of Social Responsibility as outlined in the BC School Curriculum.
We're also teaming up with schools in the North Shore to encourage students to be creative and involved members of their community. Together with their help, we can find new ways to jump the hurdles COVID-19 created, and
bring forth the next generation of fundraisers!
Funds raised by schools will be used to provide vital services for our clients and their families. We need your help! We trust students and staff will come up with creative ways to connect with families and friends and in turn, help make a difference right here in our community.
