What is ISACA?

ISACA is a global association of 140,000 professionals in 180 countries. ISACA® (www.isaca.org) helps business and IT leaders maximize value and manage risk related to information and technology. Founded in 1969, the nonprofit, independent ISACA is an advocate for professionals involved in information security, assurance, risk management and governance. These professionals rely on ISACA as the trusted source for information and technology knowledge, community, standards and certification. The association, which has more than 200 chapters worldwide, advances and validates business-critical skills and knowledge through the globally respected Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA®), Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM®), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT® (CGEIT®) and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control™ (CRISC™) credentials. ISACA also developed and continually updates COBIT®, a business framework that helps enterprises in all industries and geographies govern and manage their information and technology.

As ISACA’s largest global chapter, the ISACA New York Metropolitan Chapter (Website/ LinkedIn) helps equip its members with the knowledge, credentials, education, and network to advance their careers and transform their organizations. Through education and knowledge sharing, the ISACA New York Metropolitan Chapter leverages the expertise of its 3800+ member professionals in the lines of cybersecurity, IT governance, assurance, risk, and innovation, to help better its membership, industries, and communities they serve.

How this initiative aligns with our mission:

One major step in leveraging our knowledge, influence, and passion is our partnering with the Law Enforcement Alliance for Digital Evidence Response Inc. (LEADER), to assist the law enforcement community, prosecutors and their strategic partners combat all forms of crime through technology. Some of these crimes include online human sex trafficking, child exploitation, domestic and international terrorism, financial crimes, domestic violence, and other serious crimes.

What your donations will be used for:

Your monetary donations will go to L.E.A.D.E.R. to help provide the training, technology, and personnel required to help assist law enforcement, prosecutors, and their strategic partners have significant impact on crime.

We feel that the transparency of this non-profit’s mission, their clear track record, and tangible training & accolades will be a viable investment to the communities in which the ISACA membership serves.

Our membership uses their skills on a day to day basis to identity digital and security threats, reduce fraud and misappropriations, track aggressors via forensics, and secure an organizations posture…..

….. Wouldn’t it be great to use these same skill sets to make this world a little better then we came into it?

The ISACA METROPOLITAN NEW YORK CHAPTER WILL MATCH UP TO $5,000 CONTRIBUTED TO THIS CAUSE.
