Nicolas Kothe, an Iraq War Veteran, was accidentally killed in an handgun accident after being honorable discharged from the US Marines. I would like to raise money to donate, in his name, as a memorial scholarship to honor him. He was 27 years old.

My name of Patricia Baum and I am Nicolas Kothe’s mother.  His life was tragically cut short in a handgun accident after being honorably discharged from the US Marines.  It is important to me that he be remembered for his contributions to the freedoms that we enjoy everyday.  I would like to make a significant contribution in his name to the college he was attending for scholarships to students in the engineering programs at the University of Maryland.  Nicolas was looking forward to a career in mechanical engineering and was recently accepted into the engineering program.  He would be pleased if a contribution to the engineering school was made in his name.  A contribution of $50k should make a difference in lives of veterans as well as non-veterans studying engineering.  Your help is appreciated.  I just want to honor him and other veterans for their service to this country!
