About One Girl Can
One Girl Can
is a registered charity in both Canada and Kenya and has been
operating since 2008. We provide an end-to-end experience for young
women that starts in high school and culminates in each sponsored
student ultimately earning a meaningful living.
Our
mission is to create opportunity for young women through a holistic
model of education, training, and mentorship. These three pillars
interconnect organically to alleviate poverty and gender inequality.
Rooted in the belief that every girl has the potential to effect transformative change in her community, One Girl Can emphasizes the "Cycle of Empowerment" — a holistic approach that begins with providing access to quality education, followed by mentorship, and finally, opportunities for employment. Through this self-reinforcing cycle, we are not only uplifts individual girls but also creating a ripple effect that benefits entire communities. With each girl we support, One Girl Can is building a brighter, more equitable future for all.

One Girl Can gives talented girls - otherwise confined to home labour an opportunity to complete their formal education, creating a path to prosperity and independence.

WE TRAIN
One Girl Can provides the professional skills and training
necessary for young women to be successful in their career and earn a
meaningful living.
Entrepreneurial Training and Internship Opportunities provides for 200+ university students each year.
WE MENTOR
Through workshops and mentor matching, One Girl Can provides
tailored support to girls, giving them the tools and confidence, they
need to achieve their dreams.
