Meet Philly the Kitty of Afghanistan~

"I met Philly my second day at the camp I am currently deployed to. I was warming up in the morning to work out and to my surprise there was a kitten rubbing her face on my leg, she was so tiny and adorable. After a few minutes she laid by my side as I continued to warm-up. She looked healthy, but I wondered where her mom was. I went back that night after work to check on her and there she was all alone, I played with her a bit and she had so much energy it was hard saying bye. This became a habit; I would work 12 to 14 hours a day and I would go and play with her and feed her. I looked forward to this everyday, seeing how much energy and joy Philly got when I would play with her brought me so much happiness. This went on for almost two months. Until one night I was playing with her and an adult male cat almost three times her size chased her away. Unfortunately, the area she ran to other cats occupied that area and she would get attacked by those cats.
Keeping up with the routine I would go and check on her every night; however, she would be hiding, and it took a lot to coerce her out. She was not in the best condition. People nearby would tell me they saw her
fighting with the adult male cat, or they heard her fighting in the area where she would get chased to. I would try to clean up her scratch and bite marks every night. This went on for almost two weeks, her
condition was not getting any better. I could not stomach her suffering anymore, she really had no where to go, so I decided to rescue her. Would you please help me bring her to the states?"
