Worship Arts Conservatory is a Detroit based higher-education ministry dedicated to training up the next generation of church ministry leaders. Our primary focus at this stage in our development is the education and training of worship leaders.

College is becoming increasingly more expensive and for most students a college degree is only possible by taking on student debt. Worship Degrees require highly specialized education that is only offered by private Christian colleges. According to Credible.com , the average student loan debt for graduates of a private college is $32,600!

To make matters even more difficult, the salary for a worship leader, according to Indeed.com , ranges from $14,000 to $57,000 with the average being only about $25,000 (probably for a part time position).

Can you see the problem?

If people are going to be willing and able to serve as a worship leader in the average church, they need to get their training without going into debt. When they become trained without debt then they are much more open to serving wherever God calls them.

Our scholarships provide this opportunity by offering college-level training and career experience with no debt. With this training a student can become confident and skilled as a worship leader but still be financially able to serve without the burden of high student loan payments.

Please help us as we fund our Summer Term 2020 Scholarships. Our goal for this term is $3000 with a stretch goal of $6000.

These funds will help sponsor:

• Two Apprenticeship Matching Scholarships at $1200 each. Our Apprenticeship program places a student in ministry in a local church while they take their courses allowing them to gain practical experience at the same time they develop their skills and knowledge. The church pays the matching portion. (Our stretch goal takes the burden off the church for the matching scholarship freeing those church funds for other ministries.)
• $300 in Vanguard scholarships to help reduce the costs for students who are not part of our apprenticeship program. (Our stretch goal increases the available scholarship funds to $900.)
• One Work Study Scholarship of $300 for a student assistant to help develop online content for one of our courses.
