Please help this veteran, Dwayne with his legal fees to clear his name and rejoin his family. Dwayne served his country for 18 years including 3 overseas deployments. He is a GOOD man! Please read his story and help us if you can.

Dwayne Marquis Williams Sr. is a good man that has never asked for help his whole life.  But he is reluctantly asking for your help now.

Dwayne served in the army for a total of 18 years.  This included three separate deployments overseas, two in Iraq and one in Kosovo.  He has had an exemplary career in the army and just prior to his incarceration, he obtained his Doctorate (PhD) in Business Administration.  He was in the process of medically retiring from the Army in 2014 when he was caught unawares by this situation.

Dwayne has four wonderful children and although he is divorced from the mothers, he has been very active and involved in their lives and upbringing.  He has also paid significant child support and has never been late on a payment.  He misses his children dearly and is greatly saddened by not being able to see them and be a part of their lives during these years of development and growth.

Dwayne was accused of sexual assault for an incident in 2011 and anyone who knows Dwayne knows that he would NEVER INTENTIONALLY cause ANYONE harm of any kind.  Although he hired a lawyer to assist him at his trial, several errors were made.  Dwayne has now hired another civilian lawyer, who is familiar with the military law and is currently reviewing Dwayne’s case.  This lawyer feels that Dwayne has a good chance of at least being granted another trial and possibly of getting his sentence reduced and some charges dropped.  However, the legal fees for this lawyer will be between $14,000 and $18,000.   When Dwayne was incarcerated, he could have afforded to pay these fees on his own, but unfortunately all of his savings have been taken by the courts to pay for child support.

We have managed to pay for the first $8,000 of these fees and so the review of his case has started.  Dwayne has never asked anyone in his circle of family and friends for help, assistance or a loan at any time in the past and has always been generous in his helping of others.  He is now asking that you assist him in raising the remaining $6,000 to $10,000 in legal fees.  Whatever you can give, will be greatly appreciated.  Every little bit will help towards getting these funds together in time to pay the lawyer.

Dwayne desperately needs to return to his family and children and is asking for your help in reaching this goal.  He made a mistake in 2011 which he regrets and has apologized for.  But he wants to rejoin society and once again become the responsible father and valued employee.

If you are unable to donate any money at this time to assist Dwayne in his appeal of these charges, then you can still help Dwayne by writing him letters of support that he can submit to the appeal and parole boards.  Dwayne will be up for parole this summer and the more letters of support that he can submit, the better chance that he has in being granted parole.  Please contact me if you would like a sample format for the support letters.

Thank you so much for your support either as a monetary gift or a letter of support.  We need to bring Dwayne HOME to his family and to his children who should not have to grow up without a father who is willing to be a BIG part of their lives.  THANK YOU.
