In November 2008 I supported one of my closest friends Ariel with her pregnancy and helped bring her son Trystan into the world. In May 2009 Trystan passed away from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

Although research is discovering new things every day on the causes of SIDS there's still not much that's known about how to prevent it.

Ariel has made the courageous decision to do Summit to Sea, a 26 day trek which commences on the 6th of January 2014 that goes from Tharwa to Bairnsdale. She is committed to raising money and awareness for SIDS.

Shortly after Ariel made this decision she asked me to join her as we shared much of Trystan's life together. I've accepted the challenge as I would love to do my best to raise money and awareness for this cause, as well as try something completely out of my comfort zone.

I'll be putting any money raised towards SIDS and Kids.
