This is a very sad tale of woe....

Shelly spent three months at the Waterbury Dog Pound this past Summer before being adopted in early August. She is a difficult pittie mix and doesn't like cats/dogs or small children. She sometimes doesn't like adults too, BUT when she doesn like you-she LOVES you and shows her devotion. She is hughly treat motivated. Her adopter has a ton of personal problems and unfortunately, abandoned her recently. Today she turned up at the Pound again and she needs out of there and into a boarding/training facility immediately. The hope is that will en experienced trainer and some real TLC, she will be stable enough to go into a foster situation or be adopted. Right now she needs a lot of prayers and fingers crossed to finally get her a real home.

Ralphie is a sweet boy who just arrived at the Waterbury Dog Pound. Similar to Shelly, he is not fond of dogs or cats and might be too tempermental with a small child. He's been abused or fought. He has scars all over his head. Like Shelly as well, he's great with some people and is treat motivated.

The hope is that being out of a "Pound" environment and being properly trained, will do both Ralphie and Shelly some good so that rescues can place them into foster homes. These dogs are amazing and we're hoping we can raise enough money to not only board and train them, but also to continue to board and train any difficult dogs that may come into the Waterbury Dog Pound.

Thank you for reading and helping these poor souls out.

With Utmost Gratitude,

Jen Humphrey, Founder
