Music has always been one of the ways I experience Jewish life most deeply. A song can turn a room full of people into a community. It can bring us back to the holidays of our childhood, help us find meaning in an ancient tradition, and give our children a way to carry those traditions forward.
That is the heart behind Chanukah Song Revival .
More than a decade ago, I created Seder Song Revival with the hope of bringing new energy and joy to the Passover table. Since then, I’ve dreamed of doing the same for Chanukah—taking the songs we know and love, breathing new life into them, and adding new music that families, schools, camps, and congregations can sing for years to come.
This project feels especially meaningful right now. At a time when being proudly and joyfully Jewish matters more than ever, I want to create music that helps us gather, sing, celebrate, and fill our communities with light.
