Solving the Climate Change Puzzle

One of the biggest challenges facing humanity today is climate change. In order to leave a better world for future generations, will you take action to help mitigate the impacts of the climate crisis?  We believe that educating our youth in order to empower and inspire them is a key component of this actionable mix of solutions and you can help make that happen. We are seeking $25,000 to create a new project based on our successful Water Docs at School model for students 13 to 17 years old.


Water Docs has been running our Water Docs at School Action Projects for Students (WDaS) program for 8 years now. An 8-month, hands-on learning program that has been successfully engaging grade 7 & 8 students and has established it as a benchmark model for effective environmental education. The WDaS model delivers outstanding lesson plans to teachers throughout the school year, taking students 12 to 14 years of age through a journey of exploring their home watershed. Along the way, they create and execute projects that address issues in their watershed, shoot and edit short documentaries about their projects, and then submit their projects and films for adjudication and prizes. To-date, 6500 students have engaged in this program and the feedback from participating students and teachers has been extraordinary.

#LaterNoMore: Activating Climate Solutions Now!

As you know, we are now asking for your help to raise $25,000 to create a new project based on the successful WDaS model for a series of six high-impact sets of lesson plans to address climate change for students in the crucial age range of 13 to 17. This project is called #LaterNoMore: Lesson Plans for Students and it will research the six major contributors to toxic greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through hands-on projects and filming. They also encourage actions that students can take to mitigate these emissions in their own schools and neighbourhoods.

  (natural carbon sinks)

• Green Buildings & Manufacturing
• Reimagining Food & Agriculture

The #LaterNoMore project will be promoted across Canada. It will take outstanding curriculum and media developers to realize the impact this project promises to attain. With your help now, the #LaterNoMore Lesson Plans can be up and running for the next school year (2022-2023).
