Rotten Rottie Rescue hasn't added a story.
GivingTuesday, taking place on December 3rd, is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities, and organizations to encourage giving and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Every year, on GivingTuesday, millions of people across the globe mobilize to show up, give back, and change their communities. The goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond that day, and touches every person on the planet.
Founded in 2012, GivingTuesday has inspired millions of people to give back and support the causes they believe in. In just seven years, GivingTuesday has radically changed how we think about generosity and showed just how much power communities everywhere have to create change.
Here at Rotten Rottie Rescue we are happy to be a part of and support this global day of Giving. We would greatly appreciate your contribution towards our cause, so we can save the lives of Rottweilers in Arizona and California.
WHAT WE DO
every week we rescue an average of 1-3 Rottweilers from our
county shelters, humane societies, and from the public that can no
longer keep their Rottweilers for a variety of reasons. Each dog
is loved and cared for as they are our own. We provide any medical
attention they might need, and vaccinations, microchip,
alterations, and blood work. We provide them with a climate
controlled cozy place to sleep, food, water, toys, shelter,
supplements, medication, and grooming. We spend time to get to
know them and we work on training and any behavior problems that
they have, so that we can set them up for success in their new homes.
we take the time to thoroughly get to know our adopters and choose the families that will be the best fit for our dogs and if we make a mistake and for any reason they are not a good fit or our adopters can no longer keep the dog for any reason, our dogs are always welcome back into our rescue. In fact, we ask the adopter you sign a contract that they will not give the dog away, list them on Craig’s list or dump them with another shelter or rescue. We want to make sure that each and every one of our dogs is protected for the rest of their lives.
“When GivingTuesday launched in the US in 2012, we believed that technology and social media could be used to make generosity go viral,” said Asha Curran, GivingTuesday’s CEO, and co-founder. “We believed in the idea that people fundamentally want to give and to talk about giving; and that the social sector had the capacity to show more innovative leadership, creativity, and collaboration. People and organizations around the world proved us right. As we prepare for December 3, we’re energized and encouraged by the community’s generosity. The levels of creativity, effort and the quality of the new ideas people have contributed and shared are phenomenal.”
Please consider donating to our rescue so that we can continue our mission in the future.
