Angela Diggins hasn't added a story.
This year has been very hard on me and my daughter. I am going to start from the beginning.
I was offered to rent a house from my mother's boyfriend for $1000 all included, it was a great home for my child and I. So I paid movers and changed my daughter’s school etc. Within 16 days of moving in, my mother and her boyfriend broke up, I was then told to move out or buy the house.
So with my mother now without a home as well, I thought the best plan would be to move to a big enough place that the three of us could live in. I was working full time, and making a decent salary and not paying daycare was helping as well.
Then I got sick, I started having terrible vertigo spells. I would go days without being able to hardly move, and violently sick. I have since found out I have a vestibular disorder. This means my balance systems are messed up and the world is spinning to me all the time. Being motion sick from doing nothing at all is the best way to describe it.
I have short and long term disability through my employer, so I thought I would be fine till I got better financially anyways.
I have been out of work since April 13, 2015 and I am still fighting to get all the information to satisfy my insurance company. My specialist has filled out forms saying I cannot work in my condition, I have sent over 60 pages of medical history and reports. But they want a consolation report that has my diagnosis and treatment plan. My specialist is not doing this till all testing has been complete; I finally finished my last test on Nov 27th, and have a follow up appointment with my specialist Jan 20.
My unemployment sickness benefits were done Oct 27. And I could not qualify for social assistance till Dec 1, since my last EI payment of $300 and $200 my father sent me to help with groceries was viewed to be too much money for that period.
I am in and out of the emergency room for dehydration related to being so sick for days at a time. I am on medication they give cancer patients to help them stop throwing up, and some days it is still not enough for me to stop.
I sold everything I have of value, and now I am going to be evicted from my apartment Dec 31 since I am behind in rent.
Currently my daughter and I are living off of $420 a month, after I pay my power that is $333. I do not receive child support; I do not have any other income.
I need help with moving, I need help with medication costs, I need help with information on my condition, and I need help soon.
I do not want to be homeless, my daughter and I have been through so much this year, we need a break.
Any information or assistance would be so helpful.
I will be willing to show medical records, documents for proof, etc.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read my story.
