Laurens Wildlife Rescue needs additional funds to keep our feathered guests fed, especially as the season for migrating raptors approaches. With a record high intake to date, funds to feed these birds are running low!

Laurens Wildlife Rescue rehabs primarily birds--of all species. And this year we've definitely seen birds of all species, from Carolina wrens to red-tailed hawks, with a few herons and cormorants and sandhill cranes thrown in for good measure. To date, we're at 182 intakes for the year, which is close to our total intakes for an entire year normally--and migration hasn't even started yet, when we see substantial numbers of injured or ill raptors and migratory songbirds.

All these birds require species-specific diets. Additionally, most of them are guests at LWR for at least a month. Keeping all these crops full gets expensive, and wildlife rehabbers receive no funding from state or federal authorities. We rely on donations from the public to help us feed the birds entrusted to our care.

LWR is a 501(c)(3) organization, so all your donations are tax-deductible.  Please help us continue to care for our native wildlife by donating to our food fund and sharing our fundraiser with your friends.
