In 2006 I was 8 1/2 months pregnant with my son when we were involved in a car accident. As a direct result of this accident, he was born with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. Billy is wheelchair bound, eats via a feeding tube, and is unable to verbally communicate. Recently Billy had two surgeries to help with his muscle tone. Both were located over two hours away in a different city. While the cost of the surgeries is covered by his insurance, the cost of food and travel was not. In an effort to try to do it all myself, I have dug myself a very deep financial hole, and I am finally forced to ask for help. Bills need to be paid, his wheechair needs to be fixed, and cupboards need to be filled. Also, there is a third surgery that will need to be scheduled within the next year (or less) to fix his dislocated hip. This surgery will also take place 2 hours away, and will have a much longer recovery time. Money recieved will pay bills, buy food, fix a wheechair, and anything else left over that has either fallen to the wayside or been put off in favor of Billy's needs.
