Our entire student body is raising funds to pay for 15,000 meals that will be carefully and precisely packaged on April 18, 2024. Students will diligently measure, mix, seal, weigh, label, and box ingredients that provide meals for men, women, and children in communities where severe hunger is a daily reality. These may be locally distributed or in third world countries. Last year, we packaged over 11k meals that were received by the Convoy of Hope in the Philippines. This is a dual fundraiser with initial funds going directly to the Rise Against Hunger meal funding goal and then any additional funds raised above this goal are used to support Haw River Christian Academy's Operating Budget.
We work with Rise Against Hunger, based in Raleigh, North Carolina, that thrives on organizations like Haw River Christian Academy to help impact the world by combating hunger. The Scriptures speak of our responsibility to care for the poor. We hope that events like these can encourage our students to outwardly love, serve, and provide for others throughout their lives to the glory of Christ!
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.
