Ann LaBelle hasn't added a story.
For those that have been following us, you know Mystic has had so many ups and downs. We just got the green light from her new neuro specialist last week after he raised her medication (which we aren't seeing any difference in her with the doubled dosing 3x's a day) and instantly set up an appointment for her first set of surgeries.
Unfortunately, on Monday night, Mystic started to go downhill again. She stopped eating, was a bit depressed, coughing up puddles of phlegm, snot running like a dripping sink and a light rattling in her chest.
We instantly reached out to Dr. T and got started on treatment. Over the past few days she has been on several meds, gone through breathing treatments 6 times a day and was completely fussed over in hopes that we could get her feeling better so her surgeries could go as planned.
We finally got Mystic to start eating again (her old holistic food) and we are starting to see improvement. Though Mystic will occasionally cough she isn't coughing up the phlegm anymore. Her cough is still a little wet but not as frequent as it was. Her snot faucet has turned off (and she couldn't be happier not having her nose cleaned every 5 minutes!).
We spoke to Dr. T this morning on her scheduled surgeries tomorrow and have come up with a plan. Mystic will go in as scheduled but will have chest x-rays first. If her chest looks clear, her surgeries will go as planned. If her pneumonia is back, we will have no choice but to postpone her surgeries until we can get her chest clear again.
So, our girl needs a little help from everyone again. We need to cover her Neurology specialist appointment, new medications (seizure & antibiotics) and her x-rays tomorrow morning.
Mystic is a true fighter and survivor....she has a will to live like no other we have ever rescued. Will you join in her fight as she gets closer to beating the odds?
