We have seen it so many times, and yet each time we see it, it still takes our breath away to wonder how someone could literally watch a dog get sicker and then turn them out when they need care the most.

That is what happened to Vera...

We were contacted by the Palm Beach Shelter to ask if we could help a "stray" who had come into the shelter and was not going to be adopted due to her condition and when we saw her, we understood why.

Beautiful Vera has a grapefruit sized mammary tumor that someone, somewhere, watched grow, getting bigger and bigger until they likely turned her out on the streets to be picked up by Animal Control.

We knew Vera needed us, and so we raced to get her and get her to Dr. Roof at Pet Medical Center of Boca for bloodwork, a checkup, and examination of her tumor and a plan to get it off of her.

You have helped so many this past week, and we are here again to ask your same love, support and compassion to give Vera the 2nd chance at a home, love, and family that she probably hasn't had for a long time, if ever.

As always, every dollar counts toward the Funding Finish Line and helps not only Vera, but the next little one we know is right around the corner!
