The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
As an adult Scout leader for 15 years, I have personally witnessed how the Boy Scout program has changed lives and created the ethical, moral, and focused leaders needed for our future. But as VP, Development, for Suffolk County Council BSA, I also know that the Scouting programs here in Suffolk County urgently need your help: The costs of running the Program are increasing, while funding sources are decreasing. We want to Secure the Adventure and opportunities for all youth in Suffolk County, regardless of their backgrounds or economic status. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Scouting is a lifelong journey and we need your help to "Secure the Adventure" for the future youth of Suffolk County.
Scouting provides our youth with the foundations needed for leadership, service, good citizenship, strong moral behavior and a healthy work ethic - so that they not only positively contribute to society but are adequately prepared for whatever challenges come their way.

Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Exploring, Venturing and Sea Scouts, there's a Scouting program for everyone! Scouting teaches youth to unplug and explore the outdoors. Our programs encourages citizenship, builds confidence, teaches responsibility and resilience, and develops the leaders of tomorrow. The adventures a youth has in Scouting are some of the most valuable experiences of their lives. Scouting helps our youth to serve, to lead and to be Prepared. For Life. |  |
