Transition Framingham is hosting our 14th annual Framingham Vegetable Gardens Tour on Saturday, August 23rd, from 9:00 AM to 12:45 PM. Join us for a free tour of several home and community gardens to get inspiration, ideas, and advice from local gardeners. This year’s route will feature gardens in west and south Framingham.

Register: 

• Advance sign-up is encouraged. Register for the tour by selecting the orange "Buy this ticket” button on the right side of this page.
• A suggested donation of $10 per tour ticket is greatly appreciated, but not required, to register. Enter promo code "vegtour" to sign up without donating.

Timing:

• 9:00 AM - Meet at Diane’s house, 18 Gryzboska Circle, to arrange carpooling - please park along odd side of road
• 9:15 AM - 12:30 PM - Tour 5 gardens in west and south Framingham via carpool 
• 12:45 PM - Carpool returns to Gryzboska Circle

• This is a rain or shine event - only severe weather will cause cancellation
• Bathrooms will be available at one stop along the tour route
• Please bring a reusable water bottle and snacks, and wear appropriate clothing and footwear

Who We Are: 

A grassroots environmental organization that has been active since 2012, Transition Framingham's mission is to help Framingham work towards a socially just transition away from fossil fuel dependence to local resilience and sustainability. We strive for our initiatives to be culturally inclusive, equitable in access, and representative of the vision and voices of the rich diversity of the Framingham community. The Framingham Community Gardens Working Group , a project of Transition Framingham, aims to increase edible gardening opportunities within the Framingham community. We are currently working with the City of Framingham to implement improvements to the Pratt Street Community Garden in south Framingham, through a CPA grant from the Community Preservation Committee . Our team is also advocating for access to and support for more vegetable gardening opportunities in Framingham.
