Hello hello and thanks for giving this link some love! My name is Taylor and I am the General Manager of The Juice Truck Yaletown location. I have recently joined other community members as well as fellow co-workers to come together and raise money for the boxing charity event Aprons for Gloves.

Aprons for Gloves Boxing Association is a non-profit organization founded in 2012 that provides community outreach programs through the sport of boxing. Their fundraising initiatives go to support programs such as: after school boxing for at-risk youth, young adults classes for youth working to improve their mental health, free self-defence classes for women and all members of LGBTTQQ2S and a Moms and Tots boxing program.

I believe that fitness and health and wellness are integral parts in maintaining a strong community. I have played numerous sports throughout my life and always found that the exercise and support you receive in these settings can really have a life changing impact on who you are as an individual.

I am happy to take a punch to the face to extend these same opportunities to those that might not otherwise have the resources.

My goal is to far exceed the $2000 fundraising minimum to qualify for a fight at The Commodore Ballroom on August 20, 2019. Raising the funds does not guarantee me a match but at the end of the day it is all for a good cause!

Every little bit counts and I would really appreciate everyone spreading the word! Stay tuned for my fitness journey and any upcoming fundraising events.

Lotsa Love,

Founded in 2012, Aprons for Gloves Boxing Association is a non-profit organization focused on providing community outreach through the sport of boxing. Based in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, the organization was developed by a small group of professionals and entrepreneurs who seized an opportunity to re-establish a historic boxing program for at-risk women and youth. The program offers free mentorship and training to individuals who may otherwise not have the resources or support to participate in such activities. The sport of boxing teaches discipline, respect, hard work and self-control. Training results in positive self-esteem, good health and camaraderie for its practitioners.

Restaurant Rumble 2019

Every year bartenders, chefs, dishwaters, servers, baristas and all sorts of individuals from the Gastown community get together to train at the Eastside Boxing Club to fight in Restaurant Rumble.

In order to attend training, each fighter is required to raise $2000 for charity before they can compete at the Rumble.
