All About the Animals hasn't added a story.
Sticks (formerly Optimus), rescue of the late Katella Ting, and residing with a trainer, is severely sick with Pancreatitis and needs emergency vetting.
Reminder of Sticks/Optimus'
story, FROM LISA CAMPANIS AND THE LATE (AND MUCH MISSED)
KATELLA TING:
Optimus is a 2-3 year old Black Lab (mix?) who was owned by a
woman who set him up for failure and was then abandoned. As a pup
Optimus escaped his home and bit a poodle. He spent well over a
month in Riverside County AC in quarantine and waiting for his
hearing. He behaved so well in that time that AC allowed the owner
to keep him if she could guarantee he would be housed in safety (not
her home) but they also labeled him as vicious (worst label
possible). So she dropped him at a boarding facility with promises
of getting him a home. She stopped paying for Boarding or visiting
him after 6 months and left him in real jeopardy! He begun to show
serious kennel stress after a year there and lost weight
drastically. He never showed human aggression while at boarding and
he is a loving and goofy dog who deserves much better than he has
gotten in the past.
Katella Ting and Lisa Campanis, with help from All About the Animals donors, rescued Optimus/Sticks from the boarding facility.
Fast forward 3 years, and Optimus, now re-named Sticks, is residing in home with a trainer where he can have the constant reinforcement he needs to be a good boy! He had been doing very well, he had put on weight and has had a happy and active life. He has been getting lots of love and support as his trainer Tammy Hyatt does Sticks, and Katella's memory, proud in caring for him.
However, Sticks needs our help once again, as he has developed Pancreatitis and needs your help with funding urgent vetting care / diagnostics / and treatment. It isn't known what has caused Stick's Pancreatitis, but he has been vomiting, with diarrhea and lethargy. Pancreatitis can be very serious if not treated. Will you help Sticks get the veterinary care he badly needs?
