Hi, I'm Sacha and I'm 18 years old. I am an aspiring english teacher, currently studying in college.

In July I plan to go to Uganda to get teaching experience with primary school aged children. I will be going with a group called 'Volunteer Uganda'. I will get 1 week training in how to teach with low resources and then will start teaching for 5 weeks. As well as gaining the experience I want for teaching, I hope to provide support and education for children that really need it! I will also get the chance to do after school clubs. I'm hoping to create a reading club and I am currently in the process of collecting a wide range of books with different difficulties and styles.

I am also organising mufti day fundraising events with different schools to hopefully exceed my target and donate money to the charities. The charities that Volunteer Uganda support are Kirima Limited and Inspiring Futures: Uganda.

Whilst I know this is a very big ask I hope you can help me and even the smallest contributions will be hugely appreciated. I would really like to become a teacher and whilst 6 weeks is quite short I think I will gain so much from this volunteering opportunity and I hope to greatly impact on the childrens education and life in general!
