Emily Mccleese hasn't added a story.
My name is Emily and I'm a broke college student. It's the truth and an absolute confession of humility. I've never been the quickest to ask for help, you can pretty much ask anyone that has ever met me, they'll agree. However, it's time I swallow my pride and say I need a little help. A lot of you know I've been giving it all I've got to do everything I can for my girls (for those of you just joining my life by some divine intervention, I have two girls 4 and 8 months, they're pretty freaking awesome and ultimately this in fact all about them) these past several months and no matter what I'm proud of myself. I knew deciding to go back to school and get my RN was going to be tough and so far it's proven challenging but manageable. However, since my untimely separation from my previous employer in September things have proven to be a little more challenging. It's been an ongoing act of juggling and sacrificing to maintain a steady homeostasis in the girls life, not only from me but also from my parents cause let's face it, I'd be freaking lost without both of them.
That homeostasis has been compromised, dang it and I really am at a loss for what else to do. Honestly, my financial aid advisor "suggested" I look into to "crowdfunding" that it's "trending"...so I did. Then I checked facebook and more than one friend on the same day made a post complaining about not being able to donate to one or more pages for friends in need...so I'm taking his advice (hashtagwhatdoigottolose). Mostly because the only reason we were having this conversation was because he started it by telling me I had just lost my tuition discount, aka my contingent plan to pay my living expensive till I either graduate or find a job that's willing to accommodate the schedule of a fulltime RN student who's a single mom raising two freaking awesome kids...
So, here it is, who wants to invest in my future? I figure facebook says I have over 700 friends and I'm pretty sure I have had a physical social interaction with at least over 500 of them, the rest by association of some sort. A good majority of them share random things all the time, so maybe they'll share this. Maybe eventually it'll get the attention of some philanthropist that thinks I deserve a chance to prove I am a pretty awesome nurse, maybe they'll want to invest in my future as an RN and kick me a few bucks...now they can. Guess I won’t know if I don't try.
