In order to promote and create a sustainable industry for the poor in Nepal, we have identified a population of skilled painters who are struggling financially to make ends meet. These painters are specifically trained to paint Buddha images. They have managed to preserve this form of art that have been in existence for more than a thousand years.

We would like to appeal to you all to support their work so that they can preserve this ancient skill and most importantly, to help them become financially independent. In this way, they will have the means to not only have food for their family, they will also be able to afford proper education for their children. It is only through higher education that we can help them break the cycle of extreme poverty.

We wish to commission 500 paintings to be done for a start. Each painting costs USD500. These paintings will be donated to a non-profit Tibetan Buddhist organization to be preserved and promoted worldwide. They will upload them to their website ( so that people from all over the world, especially Buddhist practitioners, can download a copy of these beautiful paintings for free. In this way, we can generate more interests for Buddhist paintings and continue to sustain the painters’ livelihood.
