We haven't even caught our breath after Mandela yesterday, but rescue does not stop for breath catching and this AM, the DRSF team was back on the road, this time, headed North to Palm Beach.  The Palm Beach shelter had reached out for our help for a little boy named Guinness, who, just like Mandela not even 24 hours before, very much needed our help.

He is tiny, not even 12 pounds, incredibly stinky, and has all the calling cards of years and years of neglect....skinny, horrible skin infections that have eaten away a good portion of his hair, and eyes that look so painful, it makes our hearts hurt to think how long he has been this way.

Guinness made his way back south to our incredible friends and partners at LeadER to get checked over, cleaned up, and an understanding of what all he has going on.  He will need an eye specialist in the hopes that we can save his eyes and bloodwork, skin scrapes and testing to determine what is happening with his fur, and anything else that we find along the way.

You have given us so very much over the last 24 hours and we hope our community can dig a little deep and find a bit more love to help Guinness and show him the same love and compassion that everyone has given for Mandela.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
