The shelters we work with often put out "Urgent Medical Rescue" requests, but the one that came to day for Noble was that he needed rescue and he needed it NOW.

The medical notes detailed that this beautiful three year old was surrendered by his family this afternoon, totally lethargic, gums nearly white, cold to the touch, and just by visual presentation, a very, very sick boy.

After he was surrendered, the shelter medical team ran some basic tests on him, found his temperature to be dangerously low, which was the least of his problems as his hematocrit (% of red blood cells) was at 7% when it should have been close to 40%, he as anemic, and very, very out of it.

The shelter knew that in that condition Noble had just hours left and so placed the call that they knew was his best chance as without rescue he would have been euthanized very, very quickly due to his condition.

Our transport team hit the field to get him, LeadER was put on notice that they were en-route and Dr. Rosainz was alerted to as much about Noble's condition that we had.

Dr. Rosainz and her team are running multiple tests to find out what is causing the issue and Noble will likely be receiving a transfusion this evening regardless of what they find is causing the issue.

It is only the 8th day of January and the little ones keep finding their way to our door.  Here we are again, to ask your support for Noble, who had no options but us....
