Pearl came from a shelter and was found as a stray. On 3/3/2017, she had to have many mammary tumors on her right mammary chain removed that were luckily not cancerous, but the surgery was expensive.

Then she had a seizure and they were not sure if she had epilepsy. After several more seizures, she went on phenobarbital and now the seizures are under control

On 5/25/17, she had to have a dental, where she lost one tooth, but most of her teeth had already been pulled. She also had 2 oral nasal fistulas that needed repaired. In addition, she had to have more mammary tumors removed from the left side of her mammary chain and some other random lumps removed. Luckily, they were not cancerous either, but this surgery cost over $1800!

6/6/2017 UPDATE: PEARL HURT HER LEG YESTERDAY AND COULD NOT MOVE IT. SHE WENT TO THE EMERGENCY VET AND THEY SAID IT WAS HER KNEE. SHE HAS A LUXATING PATELLA, WHICH MEANS THE KNEE CAN COME OUT THE SOCKET. SOMETIMES IT GOES BACK IN PLACE, BUT THIS TIME IT DID NOT GO BACK IN PLACE AND PEARL CANNOT WALK. SHE IS GOING TO NEED SURGERY TO FIX THE KNEE. THE COST COULD BE ABOUT $2000. POOR PEARL JUST CAN'T CATCH A BREAK!

We need your help to cover the costs of Pearl's expensive surgeries, so we can continue to save other dachshunds in need.

Thank you in advance for your donation!
