Through the years, Bill and Judie never ‘caught a break’. There have been many people and life events out of their control that has led them to drain bank accounts and live day to day. I really wish at this point in their life they could think about themselves and retirement, but that is not an option.

Currently their 1997 tour bus is broken down. It happened Friday March 11th as they were traveling home from Oneida in Green Bay at 11:30pm. With over 40 people on board, everyone had to sit in the cold broken down bus until help could come. Nearly 5 hours later, the bus was towed back costing over $600, and everyone had to be taxied home. Unfortunately this is not the first time the bus has broken down in the middle of the night.

Typically when something goes wrong with the bus, my father will take time off of work and drive to a parts store in Milwaukee and find the part that is needed and replace it himself on the bus. Today is March 23rd, and the bus is STILL broken down. $2000 in parts later and my Dad and another mechanic are still not able to fix it. They say it cost a few thousand more. Every day the bus is down is income my grandparents don’t have. They literally live day to day and this almost 2 week layoff is really hurting them. Right now we are not sure how they will pay their bills for this month.

MY DREAM is to buy them a new bus! My grandpa has said before, if I had $10,000 I would just buy a new bus! Well, I want to make that happen for them. A nice, reliable bus is much more than $10,000, but I would be happy if I can give anything back to my grandparents for the amazing and generous people they have been all my life. I know how much they are struggling with bills and day to day life. If you have the pleasure of knowing my grandparents you already know what sweet and selfless people they really are.
