Meet Jack of Afghanistan~

"I'm currently in Kabul, Afghanistan. I'm a Behavioral Health Officer that travels frequently to bases around the country, and I provide counseling to a variety of staff and contractors. It's been a particularly challenging 8 months, with upticks in violence, COVID-19 preventing movement back home and a variety of other issues that have arisen in a challenging environment. One of our coalition partners gave us siblings, Doc (black) and Jack(brown), as young puppies, when they were no more than 5 weeks old. I can't tell you the joy that they have brought to hundreds of officers by merely being puppies! They provided an opportunity to have a small sense of normalcy for so many, whether it was romping around office spaces, going on walks outside or being available as a napping buddy. My medical partner and I will be adopting them to come home with us as a thank you for how much they helped assist the medical team!"

Thank You Men and Women for your service to our country. It is because of your dedication that we live in The Land of the Free, Because of the Brave. Paw Salute!
