Meet Snoopy of Afghanistan~

"So when I first arrived in Afghanistan Snoopy and her siblings were only a couple of months old, just little balls of fur. They lived outside of our ECP along side a hesco barrier with their mother. We would always go out there and make sure that they all had food and water. Eventually all the pups and their mother came into the camp at that point we started building houses for them and caring for them. The reason I chose and got attached to Snoopy is because she was the runt of the litter and was always kinda shunned away from the her bigger siblings. One day she was laying underneath one of our security ramps at the ECP getting some shade and a convoy was leaving base. We didn’t know she was under the ramp so when we dropped it the ramp crushed her leg pinning her underneath it and then the convoy drove over the ramp crushing her leg more. Her leg was split wide open. We cleaned it and wrapped it up with out medical equipment and just hoped for the best. I didn’t think she would survive because of how small she was and Infection due to her living outside. But she did! Her leg healed up pretty nice. She limps on it from time to time but other than that she is as happy as can be. So I would like to get her back to the states so she can live a happy and comfortable life ."
