2nd Wave of Fundraising: legal fees needed to help those arrested in London (scroll down for English and general information on XR Cardiff)
Rhwng Hydref 6ed a’r 19eg 2019 daeth criw o wrthryfelwyr dewr o Gaerdydd i Lundain fel rhan o wrthryfel agored yn erbyn llywodraethau Prydain am eu methiant i hysbysu ac amddiffyn eu ddinasyddion rhag y trychinebau hinsoddol ac ecolegol sy'n agosáu'n gyflym.
Buodd gwrthryfelwyr o Gaerdydd yn meddiannu ffyrdd yn Llundain ac yn cymryd rhan mewn amryw o brotestiadau, gorymdeithiau a gweithredoedd o anufudd-dod sifil di-drais.
Yn ystod ein hamser yn Llundain cafodd grŵp Caerdydd o leiaf 14 o arestiadau. Pobl gyffredin a ddewisodd roi eu rhyddid ar y lein, sefyll i fyny (neu eistedd i lawr) a mynnu cyfiawnder hinsoddol ac ecolegol i bawb.
Rydym am gefnogi'r unigolion hyn gyda chymorth ariannol cyfreithiol y byddant yn ei angen o ganlyniad i'w gweithredoedd dewr.
Rhowch beth bynnag y gallwch chi, mae pob ceiniog yn helpu a bydd yn cael ei werthfawrogi'n fawr.
Os oes gennych amser / sgiliau i'w rhoi yna dewch i'n cyfarfod nesaf, mae cymaint o ffyrdd i gymryd rhan!

Between October 6th-19th 2019 many brave rebels from the Cardiff group made their way to London as part of an open rebellion against the British governments for their failure to inform and protect their citizens from the fast approaching climate and ecological catastrophe.
Rebels from Cardiff occupied roads in London and took part in various protests, marches and acts of non-violent civil disobedience.
During our time in London the Cardiff group experienced at least 14 arrests. Ordinary people who chose to put their freedom on the line, to stand up (or sit down) and demand climate and ecological justice for all.
We want to support these individuals with financial legal support that they may require as a result of their brave actions.
Please give whatever you can, every little helps and will be much appreciated.

Rydym yn codi arian i gefnogi gweithredoedd XR Caerdydd. Bydd cyfraniadau yn mynd tuag at gostau ein gweithgareddau dros Gyfiawnder Hinsawdd. Enghreifftiau fyddai deunyddiau ar gyfer creu baneri a pamffledi, neu ddanteithion i’w cynnig i gyhoedd sydd wedi eu heffeithio gan ein gweithredu uniongyrchol.
Mae ein grwp lleol XR Caerdydd yn cefnogi gofynion y mudiad XR yn genedlaethol wrth alw ar Lywodraeth y DU i ddatgan argyfwng hinsawdd a chwrdd â’r gofynion canlynol:

Rhaid i’r Llywodraeth ddweud y gwir am yr hinsawdd a’r argyfwng ecolegol ehangach, gwrthdroi polisïau anghyson a gweithio ar y cyd â’r cyfryngau i gyfathrebu â dinasyddion.

Rhaid i’r Llywodraeth ddeddfu mesurau polisi cyfreithiol rhwymol i leihau allyriadau carbon i sero net erbyn 2025 a lleihau lefelau defnyddio.

Sefydlu Cynulliad Dinasyddion cenedlaethol i oruchwylio’r newidiadau, fel rhan o greu democratiareth sy’n addas i’r pwrpas
Mae cynghorau dosbarth Bryste, Stroud, Totnes, Trafford a Llundain wedi datgan argyfwng yn yr hinsawdd ac wedi ymrwymo i’r nodau hyn. Rydym yn eisiau Gyngor Dinas Caerdydd a Llywodraeth Cymru wneud yr un peth ac arwain y ffordd ar gyfer y newidiadau genedlaethol a byd-eang sy’n rhaid i ddigwydd!
Gyda'ch cefnogaeth chi, gallwn barhau i weithredu’n uniongyrchol ar strydoedd Caerdydd nes gweld ein gofynion yn cael eu mabwysiadu gan Lywodraeth Cymru a Chyngor Dinas Caerdydd.

Support Extinction Rebellion (XR) Cardiff! For our future generations
We are raising funds to support the actions of XR Cardiff! All contributions will go towards the materials needed to continue carrying out direct actions to demand climate justice. Some examples are supplies for banners, flyers, making tasty goodies for the public, hiring rooms for meetings and so forth...
Our local XR movement in Cardiff, in support of the national XR movement demand that the UK government declares a climate emergency and meet the following demands.
- The Government must tell the truth about the climate and wider ecological emergency, reverse inconsistent policies and work alongside the media to communicate with citizens.
- The Government must enact legally binding policy measures to reduce carbon emissions to net zero by 2025 and to reduce consumption levels.
- A national Citizen’s Assembly to oversee the changes, as part of creating a democracy fit for purpose.
Other district councils (Bristol, Stroud, Totnes, Trafford and London) have declared a climate emergency and committed to these goals. We want Cardiff City Council and the Welsh Government to do the same and lead the way for the national and global changes that must happen!
With your support we can continue to take direct action on the streets of Cardiff to see our demands effervesce into the Welsh government and Cardiff City Council.
