Comet Candy was living under a trailer when a caring stranger noticed this sweet, plump, kitty.  Sweet and very snuggly, Comet Candy was friendly and wanted love.  This stranger gathered up Comet Candy (and two other cats) and brought all three of them to Animal Allies.  The other two cats have been adopted already, but it turned out that Comet Candy (plump as she was) was round for a reason.

She had six adorable little surprises in store for us, and on April 9th she gave birth here at the shelter.  The kittens are growing- snuggling and sleeping their days away, and Comet Candy is a wonderful mother.  They will go into foster care soon, but Comet Candy is still undergoing medical care here at the shelter while she takes time to heal and recover.

Can you donate $5 to help Comet Candy and her kittens?  Providing specialized care services for newborns is a delicate process requiring additional TLC.  What you give today will help provide for the care of Comet Candy and her kittens while they grow and wait to be spayed/neutered.  These adorable neonates will be under our supervised veterinary care for the next 7+ weeks.  Additional money raised over our $500 goal will be used to cover additional expenses for this furry family and other shelter pets in need.

As we were taking their photos, CC was so supportive and didn't mind us touching her babies at all.  She definitely appreciated chin scratches and belly rubs herself!  Watch her with her kittens here.

Stay tuned to this page for weekly updates and photos of CC and her babies.  You'll watch them grow and see their personalities develop with us!  We'll also share updates when they're available to have an adoption hold placed on them.

Each kitten's name means "Spring" from different languages.  Once they've grown and become more distinguishable, we'll share photos of their growth progression.  Mom: Comet Candy  Kittens: Jaro, Kevad, Lente, Molla, Spring, Vor
