On February 19, two friends and community members were arrested at the Highgate border crossing. Their arrests followed a rally in Highgate State Park, near the border where several Muslim Canadians were recently been denied entrance to the so-called US. Fadwa Alaoui and Yassine Aber, among others, were turned away by border and customs agents despite having Canadian citizenship and passports. In response to this, community members held a rally and speak-out against racial, ethnic, and religious profiling and policing at the border. After delivering a statement/list of demands inside the port of entry building and refusing to leave until they were met, two comrades were arrested, brought to the state police headquarters, and charged with unlawful trespassing.

Let's show some material support for our brave friends throwing down for a future without ICE, Border Patrol, and all militarized occupation! All funds raised will go toward their legal fees. Please share and donate as you can!
