Help raise bail and legal fees for Jason Nellis a local activist, writer, and friend to many within Las Vegas, who is always willing to help others. Jason has been in jail since 9/17/16 and is needed to care for his sick grandma, who is in the hospital.

On 9/17/16, Jason Nellis was hanging out with friends in DTLV, singing along with a band that was performing down there and was arrested with a few other people. While the original charge was crossed off and changed, once he got before a judge, the real nightmare started.

Jason was given a harsh sentence of 75 days or $8000. The initial charge for Jaywalking was crossed out and marked as resisting arrest.

Jason also has charges with the County, so while this arrest is for City, we are preparing to cover both bail amounts because he will be transferred there after this is cleared with the City.

Many of you know that Jason and his mom care for his grandmother and she is currently in the hospital with a broken neck and other serious health issues. While she is getting care, she also suffers from dementia and doesn’t understand why he is not there with her.

Jason has a long history of helping people and local causes within Las Vegas. He would give anyone the shirt off his back and is always there, not saying much, but helping get things accomplished for many of us. Please help raise enough funds to get him home.
