The purpose of the Joseph Betustak Jr. Memorial Foundation is to raise funds for cancer patients in honor and in memory of Joe Betustak, Jr. who fought, with dignity and strength, a losing battle against bone cancer. The foundation solicits donations from corporate and individual contributors.

Funds shall be distributed to families in need of assistance due to financial hardships resulting from the monetary and emotional stress caused by a family member having a terminal illness, or to charitable or religious organizations that support and foster such families.

This year, the Foundation has chosen to conduct our 10th Annual Joe B. Memorial Benefit Motorcycle Run & Party On The Lake on behalf of Kylee Yeomans and Tina Mendoza.

Kylee Yeomans is a 21-year-old nursing student from Portage, Indiana. She is the daughter of Dan Yeomans, from Portage, and Kathy Wells, from La Porte. Kylee is a 2011 graduate from Portage High School and is employed at Porter Memorial Hospital, Jimmy Johns, and the YMCA as a gymnastics coach. In July of 2014, Kylee was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer. She has undergone surgery at Rush University Hospital in Chicago and she will continue there with chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Tina Mendoza of Munster is an amazing mother of five, ages 12 to 1. She was diagnosed in 2006 with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML). Prior to diagnosis she suffered from fatigue, an unknown blood disorder, and a range of symptoms all while attempting to recover from the birth of her third child to no avail. She has received chemotherapy for 9 years and recently started receiving a more aggressive treatment and travels to the University of Chicago Hospital weekly. Tina is a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and humanitarian helping out other cancer affected families.

We are humbly requesting your support to help out Kylee Yeomans, Tina Mendoza, and others going through unimaginable hardship. Your donation and your help will be greatly appreciated. Your generosity will make a difference. Thank you for taking a moment to read this, for your consideration, and for helping.
