Pay Membership Dues

In our 18th year, JAI joins other arts associations in re-thinking our membership model, rooted in the values of access, equity, and ease. Our new plan allows individual members to “opt-in” to support our communal growth at various levels with a single payment.

Emphasizing equity, membership benefits stay the same for all. Our new  multi-tiered model  is  support-motivated  and provides options for those who can pay more to invest in sustaining our work. We hope you will think of membership not just as paying a fee, but as a radical recommitment to all that JAI will do in 2022. Together let’s make the next 18 years of JAI vibrant!

JAI Membership Benefits:

• Participation in all events and programs
• Opportunities for inclusion in JAI Juried or Curated Exhibitions for Artist Members
• Referrals to curators and collectors, when appropriate for Artist Members
• Arts Professional members could be referred to venues or other possible client connections
• Opportunity to be a featured Artist of the Month
• Your name linked to your website on our JAI Artist and Arts Professional member directories

Use the buttons below to pay your annual membership dues for 2023, whether as an artist or arts professional. (Arts professionals are non-artists including curators, gallerists, museum professionals, and art historians.) Membership is available at the $40, $80, and $120 level. All members, regardless of level, are entitled to the same member benefits. Members at the higher levels will be recognized on the JAI website for their generous support. If you suffer from financial hardship and are unable to pay the lowest level of dues, email  membership@jaisocal.org  to arrange a solution tailored to your needs.

If you do not remember if you have paid your dues for the year, please search your email for a confirmation from us, then email  membership@jaisocal.org.

Dues and our annual fundraising campaign are an essential part of our budget, both help to support exhibitions and programming, as well as maintain our web presence and JAI newsletter. Dues alone do not fully cover our annual expenses, and we encourage all members who value our work to contribute what you are able to help us achieve our mission, especially at this difficult time. Please note that membership dues are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions but may be declared as a business expense on your Schedule C tax form. Contributions made on our donation page are tax-deductible.
