Ottawa animal activists with a campaign to use advertisements in OC Transpo buses in Ottawa with images of the cruel reality of factory farming.
The goal is for the images to reach the public and provoke thought about how we treat animals.

Tyler Jamieson and Laurie Wilson - we are part of the animal activist community in Ottawa.  We started an advertising campaign in 2012 (similar to the one Mercy for Animals ran in subways in Toronto) to run internal poster advertisements on OC Transpo buses in Ottawa. The ads feature images and information to raise awareness of the cruelty of factory farming with the solution being veganism.

Although advertising is expensive, we know it can have a strong impact. It is our hope that people will notice the images while on the bus and they will provoke thought and perhaps affect change in the way people think about food and our food production system.

All the money raised will be used to pay for the cost of advertising (and a small fee for using FundRazr). The costs for printing and advertising for 4 weeks are $3600.

We are grateful for the support of our friends in the animal community as well as the interested public.

We believe that factory farming must end. We believe that the public should know the truth about how animals are treated in factory farms.
