Working with teenagers from countries like Guinea, Mali, Afghanistan, Syria and Sri Lanka, the aim of this project is to provide a network of support and creativity for young people through music.

The workshop is dedicated to connecting refugees to Berlin’s vibrant music scene. Our project will introduce them to the world of music production, enabling them to not only start creating their own tracks, but giving them the skills and knowledge to continue making their own music once the workshop has ended. We want to create opportunities for them to share their own culture and creativity through music. We have been working with Evin e.V., an NGO based in Berlin, who run shelters and comprehensive assistance programs for unaccompanied refugee minors, teenagers from ages 15 to 21, who have fled their homes and arrived here in Germany without their families.

With help from our in-house music-maestro Jeronimo, aka Signal Deluxe, we ran the first of our music production workshops in February. It was a huge success and the teens absolutely loved it! We would like to continue these workshops in 2017 and expand our set up to include a studio with the basics in production software and equipment.

Whether in monetary donations or just in help spreading the word, we are asking for your support to make this workshop a reality. Special thanks at this stage are due to Ableton, without whose early support this project would not be possible.
