Miles for Mammograms® is 100% volunteer-operated. All proceeds support the
WellStar Cobb Hospital Women's Imaging Center.
For thirteen years, East-West Church and Fire Ministries have committed to funding early detection screenings for local Breast Cancer programs. This year we are excited to partner again with WellStar Cobb to bring the 9th Annual 4K Miles for Mammograms® Walk & Run.
For the past six years, we have exclusively committed to partnering with the WellStar Foundation, raising over $78,000 to provide free screening mammograms, diagnostic services and genetic risk assessments to women and men who lack access or are unable to afford healthcare within the WellStar Cobb service area.
Getting a mammogram is one of the most important things a woman can do to detect breast cancer early. Unfortunately, more and more women are not able to afford this procedure. For every $130 raised, we can provide one mammogram screening through the WellStar Foundation.
