Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage set up EPIC Kids (Environmental Programs Involving Children) in 2011 to educate Zimbabwe school children about nature conservation & our wildlife heritage. In the last 4 years, over 350,000 school children from 250 schools have attended an EPIC Kids program.

We would like to bring disadvantaged school children for a 3 day residential program to Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage and are fundraising for a 30 seater school bus.  Most of these children (and their parents) struggle to send their kids to school and themselves to work due to the high cost & unavailability of transport. We hope to be able to expose more children to the program with the help of the bus. As without educating the young children of Africa, our wildlife heritage is certainly doomed to destruction. Teaching children and changing mindsets is the only way forward.

Founded in 1973, Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage is a haven for wild animals which have little hope for survival in the wild – animals or birds which have been orphaned, abandoned, injured, born in captivity or brought up unsuccessfully as pets. It is often the last refuge for those brought in sick or injured, and increasingly it is a sanctuary for confiscated animals.

We hope with your generous contributions to reach our goal soon. Thank you and please do visit us at Zimbabwe.
