LOTEM is dedicated to bringing people with special needs closer to nature.

Established in 1993 by Amos Ziv following a moving encounter with a group of visually impaired teenagers hiking in the Israeli countryside. Amos realized that in order to provide these special-needs hikers with the maximum benefit of activities in a rural environment, suitable guidance and more defined trails were essential.

Today, LOTEM is the leading organization in Israel offering outings, nature clubs, and creative workshops to people with special needs. With centers in Jerusalem and Northern Israel, LOTEM serves more than 30,000 participants every year. LOTEM's target population includes children and adults who are blind and visually impaired, deaf and hearing impaired, physically and intellectually challenged, emotionally disturbed, and at risk of physical and emotional abuse .

The only thing missing from LOTEM is a fully-accessible, protective classroom where visitors can seek safety in the event of an attack. After 72 members of our community visited LOTEM on the Israel Mission trip this past spring, we all agreed, they need our help.

Donate today to build a safer and better tomorrow for Israel!
