Carrie Kitchen hasn't added a story.
Carrie Kitchen is 36 years old. She is a beautiful, loving, caring, and passionate wife and mother. Her daughter Emma is 5, with a beautiful and sensitive soul. She loves to draw and paint, and loves mermaids. Carrie’s husband Jorge works as a Maintenance Tech and is very supportive of their situation. He even dyed his hair pink to support her and help through these difficult times! She enjoys music and quality time with her family.
Carrie has lived in Virginia for 5 years now with her family. Prior to living in Virginia, they lived in Mexico where her daughter was born. As a family, they love to go camping, biking, and go out on the water when they can. They love to be outdoors in the sun! They enjoy life to the fullest and feel blessed every day for being here.
During a self-examination, Carrie found a lump in her breast and immediately went to her doctor. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in October of 2013. She has had six treatments of chemotherapy, which her body did not respond well to. She had a bilateral mastectomy in April of 2014, and now her doctor wants her to do additional radiation therapy. Her doctors say her case is complex because of the grade of tumor and the lymph node involvement she has.
Carrie recently received news that her cancer is stage 3b, and her specialist thinks she needs to have a higher quality of radiation technique that they do not offer here in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Her doctor wants her to go for treatment in New York City at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. This latest treatment will be for 6 more weeks. Carrie is going to have to stay in New York City, and is currently looking for a place to stay. Even the places that offer discounts to those visiting the hospital are still too expensive.
Please help support Carrie and her family during these very difficult times. She needs help funding her stay in New York City, with her medical costs, and with the general costs of living while going through this difficult time. We should all believe that healthy healing comes from the soul, and no one should have worries or have the stress of dealing with difficult times such as this. Let’s help Carrie and her family by our donations, and let them know they are loved by all of us.
