Walt & I are asking for your support to help build a home for Glersan, who many of you will recognize from serving you at Saffron. She is a single mother of a teenage girl and, along with her sisters, cares for her father who was in a motorcycle accident a few years ago. He made a living as a motorcycle taxi driver, but life drastically changed for her parents and her family because her father can no longer walk and is confined to a wheelchair.
Our goal is to fund a 3 bedroom home on land we have purchased in Loma de la Bestia. This is where Glersan, her daughter, and her parents will live. They will be able to use the money saved by not paying rent for medication and other family health issues not discussed here.
The salary at Lifestyles is not enough to support Glersan and her daughter, as well as, care for her father and mother and helping with their expenses. Both Glersan and her parents pay rent and owning a home in Loma de la Bestia means the parents will live with Glersan and her daughter instead of living an hour apart. Glersan goes on days off to help. The added transportation costs are stretching her means which are already strained and she is so embarassed to be in this position.
We want to remind you that your support goes so much further than this home. It also provides work for the construction crews which means they can put food on their tables, send their children to school, etc.. The blessings multiply.
