I am Former Sergeant U.S.M.C.  James Eastland. In June of 2021 I will be competing in the Trans America Bike Race: a self-supported 4,200 mile bicycle race from Astoria, Oregon to Yorktown, Virginia. Self-supported means that once the race clock starts it never stops, and I'm on my own. There will be no team of people giving me food, water, or navigational assistance-just my bike, any supplies I can carry on it and my determination/will to finish the race.

As challenging as this may seem, it's nothing compared to what our wounded veterans face when they come home from war. Too often there's no team of people giving them any support physically, emotionally, or mentally to help them navigate life after their injuries. That's why I'm raising money for Operation Float a Soldier: a local Canyon Lake charity that supports our veterans through recreational opportunities. Through fishing, floating, food and fun, their 100% volunteer team seeks to provide spiritual healing, hope and camaraderie to groups of wounded soldiers and Marines and their families.

Help me help O.F.A.S. and our Wounded Veterans with a monetary gift today. By donating, you are helping them-not me. As I said before, my race is self-supported. I will pay my own way through the entire ride. 100% of what you give goes to O.F.A.S. and our Veterans. Thank you in advance and Semper Fidelis!
