We’ve already proven this show has legs by bringing the house down during our previous staging at the State Theater. Now, we are bringing the fight even closer to old Greg’s backyard. Just in time for the crucial Fall election, Young Greg Abbott: A FuQusical is returning for an ultra-limited, high-impact run of just four performances at downtown Austin's intimate Trinity Street Playhouse.

The Story: An Origin Myth of Cruelty
Set in 1984, the show follows a young Greg Abbott fresh out of law school as he journeys to Austin to take the bar and meet his destiny. Along the way, he encounters a surreal parade of Texas personalities who help shape his story.
The result is a high-energy, thought-provoking experience that fuses classic musical theatre with the raw, punk satirical spirit of FUGA! Written, composed, and directed by Brently (the storyteller and creator behind Austin's acclaimed emo puppet band Fragile Rock), Young Greg Abbott stands proudly in a long lineage of activist theater that uses humor to punch up and demand social change.
