Meet Karima of Afghanistan~

"During my deployment I have seen many dogs around base. Most of them very scared of humans but the puppies. This is where I met Karima and her brother, they were still scared of us but not much. When we first started seeing her around all the other dogs would pick on her, so I decided to take her in and make sure that she had food and was safe. When I gave her a bath, I saw that she has so many scabs across her whole body. She looked very malnourished but was still a happy puppy. She was very scared once I got her with me, not knowing who I really was and being away from her family. Not to long after I took her in, word spread that some people didn’t like so many dogs around, so they got rid of them. No dogs were found at their usual spot the next night only leaving Karima and her brother. At this point, professional help arrived and immediately knew that she was in critical condition. She was taken and upon further inspection we found that she had Pneumonia. Knowing that her isn’t save her and me falling in love with I can’t in my right mind leave her out here. I would love to get her home to be part of my family. She deserves happy home after everything she has been through in her short life."
