I hate to be so direct but we just cannot afford to pay the deductible for Jimmy's spinal simulator implant surgery, our portion of the cost of the medical equipment and other related expenses. Thanks to direct donations, the amount is now $7,000.00.

Please consider making a donation.  We now know that the implant will reduce Jimmy's pain to a more manageable level. The implant will allow him to return to a more normal lifestyle.

Update:  Jimmy's trial implant was successful. The dr's office is making now arrangements for the actual surgery to permanently implant the simulator.

Donations will be used to cover the remaining deductible ($2700.00) and our 20% of the medical equipment  and surgery related expenses ($4300.00 approx) . Since I am a contractor, donations will also help cover my time off work.

Update: We cannot accept credit cards for this fundraiser.

Background:

Jimmy is suffering from failed back surgery syndrome which is a condition characterized by chronic pain following back surgeries.  He has been on opioids for several years and they no longer completely control the pain.

Jimmy's pain management doctor recommended a Spinal cord simulator (SCS) implant in an attempt to relieve or reduce the pain.  He is hoping for enough of a reduction that he can stop taking the pain medicine completely.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
